Terms of service
The agreement between you, as a merchant running a shop on this platform, and us, as the people running the platform.

DRAFT FOR LEGAL REVIEW — DO NOT PUBLISH WITHOUT SIGN-OFF
This document describes how the platform actually works, but it has not been reviewed by a Brazilian lawyer and the company’s own registration details are not yet configured. Nothing on this page should be relied on as the final agreement.
1. What this service is
Shuz provides storefront and order-management software. You list products, your customers buy them, and the software delivers them. We are not a party to the sale: the contract for the goods is between you and your customer.
2. The money does not rest with us
Shuz is a software platform. The sale is between you and your buyer: we are not a party to it, not the Merchant of Record, not a payment processor and not a custodian of your money. There are three rails and none of them passes through a balance of ours.
Cards are processed by Stripe on the connected account that is yours. The money lands in your Stripe balance, Stripe pays you out on its own schedule, and a dispute is yours to answer. Our percentage is taken as a Stripe application fee at the moment of the charge.
Pix is processed by Mercado Pago on your own Mercado Pago account, which you authorise us to create charges on and may withdraw at any time. The money lands in your Mercado Pago balance and never in ours. Our percentage is sent as a marketplace fee at the moment of the charge; Mercado Pago’s own processing fee is separate, charged by them, at their published rate, and is not ours to set or to quote.
Both providers require identification checks of their own before an account may take payments, and either may review, limit or suspend an account for reasons that are theirs rather than ours. Where that happens we can tell you what we were told and nothing more.
Refunds on Pix are taken back proportionally from your balance and from ours. If your Mercado Pago balance is short of your share, the provider will refuse the refund, and we will not make your share good on your behalf — you will see the refusal, and clearing it is yours. Reversals raised by a buyer’s bank (including a Pix MED claim) and chargebacks on cards are decided by the provider and the bank, not by us.
Cryptocurrency is paid directly to an address derived from an extended public key you supply. We hold no private key, so we cannot move, hold or freeze those funds — and neither could anyone who obtained our database. The fee on those sales is accrued and billed to you separately, because the payment never passes through us.
Because of this, platform fees are billed to you for the period in which they accrue. They are not deducted from any payment.
3. The accounts you connect
Connecting a Stripe or Mercado Pago account authorises us to create and manage payments on it on your behalf, and nothing else. Specifically:
- You remain the account holder. We do not open it, own it, or answer for it, and we cannot change its settings, its bank details or its payout schedule.
- You may withdraw the authorisation at any time, here or in the provider's own dashboard. New charges stop immediately. Payments already in flight settle to you as normal, and nothing you have already sold changes.
- You are responsible for keeping enough balance to refund. A Pix refund is taken proportionally from your balance and ours, and the provider will refuse it if yours is short. We do not advance your share.
- You will not route a sale made through this platform around its fee.Taking payment for a Shuz order outside the connected account, or replacing a checkout with a direct payment link for the same sale, ends the arrangement.
- Chargebacks, Pix MED claims and provider disputes are yours. We pass on what we are told and take no position between you and your buyer.
- Tax on your sales is yours. We invoice you for our fee and issue nothing on your behalf to your buyers.
4. Your responsibilities
- You are responsible for what you sell, for having the right to sell it, and for whether selling it is lawful where you and your customers are.
- You are responsible for the accuracy of the wallet keys you enter. A payment sent to an address derived from a key you entered incorrectly is not recoverable by us.
- You are responsible for your own tax obligations, including any tax on the payments you receive.
- You are responsible for the security of your account. Enable two-factor authentication.
5. What you may not sell
You may not use a shop on this platform to sell or distribute:
- Stolen credentials, accounts obtained without their owner's consent, or access to compromised systems.
- Malware, exploit kits, or tooling whose purpose is unauthorised access.
- Material that is illegal to distribute, including material depicting the abuse of children.
- Copyrighted works you do not have the right to distribute.
- Anything that would make the platform a party to fraud against a third party.
We may suspend a shop that breaches this section. Where we do, we will tell you why, and your customers' existing orders, downloads and licence keys will continue to work, they did nothing wrong.
6. Availability
We aim to keep the service running, and we will tell you about planned interruptions. We do not promise uninterrupted availability, and we are not liable for sales you did not make during an outage. Your catalogue, orders and customers can be exported at any time, so a service you cannot reach is never a catalogue you cannot recover.
7. Your data
Your catalogue, orders and customer records are yours. You can export them at any time through the dashboard or the API. If you close your shop we delete them, subject to any records we are required to keep.
8. Fees and plans
Plan prices and transaction-fee rates are shown on the pricing page and are what applies to you. If we change them, existing shops keep their current rate until the end of the period and are told before the next one begins. A shop whose bill goes unpaid drops to the free tier's limits rather than being switched off.
9. Ending the agreement
You can close your shop at any time from settings. We can end this agreement, with notice, if you breach section 4 or repeatedly fail to pay. On termination you keep access to your data long enough to export it.
10. Liability
To the extent the law allows, our liability to you is limited to the platform fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for lost profit, lost sales, or for cryptocurrency lost to an address derived from a key you entered.
11. Changes
We will tell you before these terms change in a way that affects you, and the date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.
